The Database and Internet Technology group belongs to the Junior professorship of the same name.

Our research are is the integration of dynamic data from the physical world into (often web-based) information systems. In particular, we focus on

• Data stream management technologies (in cooperation with the Information systems group, project Odysseus)
• Detecting critical situations in Offshore Operations, project OFFIS institute for Computer Science, project SCAMPI)
• Context-aware systems and Pervasive Computing, with a focus on context-aware workflows (in cooperation with the center of collaboration SFB 627 "Nexus", Universität Stuttgart)
